There are a wide variety of sump pump manufactures, all with a difference in devices they use for switches to control their pump motors, to the products they use manufacturing the pumps themselves, and they would each like to have you believe their pump product is the best on Earth. However, most are NOT, and even the finest of pumps have a limited life-span. “Nothing lasts forever."

These systems are required when your yard is holding excessive water during or after severe storms have passed through. Like drain tile systems, the concept is the same: Install a pipe network to absorb the water and control its course. If your yard has some elevation or pitch, this can be done so allowing gravity to do all the work for you, requiring no pump motor to discharge the water away.

We find this to be very serious business, which can be easily overlooked by your average plumber or even your builder. We feel every home should have this protection. Back-up pump systems are not all alike: their performance and operation can differ greatly. The concept doesn’t change, however, the mechanics are not the same.

A custom installation may be needed when crawlspaces are involved, new foundation additions have been added, or you just need to relocate the pipe from its current location. And in most cases when installing a battery back-up system, you may need the water displaced at a different location through its own dedicated discharge pipe.
